Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
India and the UK have a growing bilateral partnership.

The India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was launched in 2021 along with the India-UK Roadmap 2030. The roadmap is a commitment to a partnership that delivers for both the countries.

Roadmap 2030 envisages revitalized and dynamic connections between the people; re-energised trade, investment and technological collaboration that improves the lives and livelihoods of the citizens; enhanced defence and security cooperation that brings a more secure Indian Ocean Region and Indo-Pacific and India-UK leadership in climate, clean energy and health that acts as a global force for good.
Greater collaboration in several key areas, including defence as well as critical and emerging technologies, was discussed at the inaugural India-UK 2+2 Foreign and Defence Dialogue held in New Delhi on October 16, 2023. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the two countries.

The 2+2 dialogue at the level of senior officials is a mechanism to discuss and review all aspects of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
