Yash's Film 'Toxic' Secures Music Rights Deal with Zee Music Company
The film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' has signed a music rights deal with Zee Music Company, featuring a multi-composer soundtrack.

The upcoming Kannada film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', headlined by renowned actor Yash, has made headlines by finalising a significant music rights agreement with Zee Music Company. This deal was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter India and is considered one of the label's most important acquisitions in recent years.

The soundtrack for 'Toxic' is set to feature a high-impact, multi-composer arrangement, promising a blend of various musical influences. Composers involved include Ravi Basrur, Vishal Mishra, and Tanishk Bagchi. Vishal Mishra has notably crafted four songs for the film. Tanishk Bagchi contributes one track that he co-composed alongside Arslan Nizami and Faheem Abdullah, who are known for their work on 'Saiyaara'. In addition to this, Basrur has provided one song and is responsible for the film’s background score.

Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, 'Toxic' is both written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, in collaboration with Yash. The film’s makers have expressed their vision to create an album that merges emotional depth, energetic appeal, and cinematic grandeur.

Sujal Parekh, Chief Business Officer of Zee Music Company, shared insights into the project, stating, 'Toxic represents the spirit of pan-India cinema with a story, scale, and vision that transcend language and regional boundaries.' He further elaborated on the plan for the soundtrack, aiming to emotionally connect with diverse markets while retaining a modern mass appeal that aligns with contemporary streaming trends.

Venkat K. Narayana, Chairman of KVN Productions, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the need for a soundscape that is 'bold, disruptive, and truly unforgettable.' He added that this partnership with Zee Music Company marks the beginning of a long-term relationship, focused on exploring new frontiers in cinematic music. Narayana said, 'Together, we want to redefine how music travels with cinema—not just as a soundtrack, but as an experience that lives far beyond the screen.'

'Toxic' is set to be released in both Kannada and English, with dubbed versions also available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other languages. It is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19, where it will go head-to-head with the film 'Dhurandhar 2', featuring Ranveer Singh.

As anticipation builds for this cinematic venture, fans and industry watchers are eager to see how the film and its innovative soundtrack will be received upon release.
