Isuzu Launches 2026 D-Max V-Cross in India Starting at Rs 25.50 Lakh
Isuzu has officially unveiled the 2026 edition of its well-known D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pick-up in India, expanding its offerings in the competitive automotive market. The new model, starkly upgraded, is priced between Rs 25.50 lakh and ₹30.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). A notable change sees the discontinuation of the 4x2 drivetrain option, with the pick-up now available exclusively in a 4x4 configuration with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Design Modifications
The latest D-Max V-Cross features several aesthetic updates. Most prominent are the modifications to the front end, where a refreshed grille and altered bumper have been introduced. The grille now exhibits a more robust black lower lip, whilst the bumper sports reduced cladding and omits the previously featured faux skid plate. The pick-up is also fitted with newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, although it no longer includes black wheelarch and side body cladding from previous versions.
Feature Enhancements
In terms of interior features, the 2026 D-Max V-Cross presents a significant advancement with a new floating 10.3-inch touchscreen replacing the earlier 9-inch unit. Enhanced connectivity options now include wireless compatibility for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features include a new 360-degree camera system, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an upgraded eight-speaker audio system with roof-mounted speakers available on higher trims.
Engine Specifications
Powering the 2026 D-Max V-Cross is a 1.9-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum output of 161 horsepower and a torque rating of up to 360 Newton-metres. The engine is coupled with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, while a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive system comes as standard across all variants, complemented by an auto-locking differential to enhance off-road capabilities.
Market Context
The introduction of the 2026 D-Max V-Cross positions it competitively against vehicles like the Toyota Hilux in the Indian market, targeting customers seeking a mix of lifestyle and functionality in a pick-up format. With updated design elements and new technology options, Isuzu aims to strengthen its foothold in the thriving pick-up segment in India.
