Salman Khan Seen at Mumbai Airport Following Security Incidents
Superstar Salman Khan was seen at Kalina Private Airport in Mumbai on Monday, amidst heightened security precautions following a recent shooting incident targeting fellow actor Tiger Shroff. The increased security measures also coincide with a bomb threat directed at veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan's residence.
The heightened security was triggered after a shooting incident occurred on October 18, when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in the Juhu area. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg, an assailant opened fire at Shroff's vehicle as he was departing. Fortunately, Shroff was unharmed in the attack, although his driver did sustain injuries.
In response to the threat to Tiger Shroff, security measures around Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra have been escalated. Police personnel equipped with bulletproof gear have been stationed in the area, and additional vehicles have been deployed to ensure the safety of residents.
The security situation is compounded by reports that Amitabh Bachchan received a bomb threat via email last week. The message was reportedly sent to a school located in the Bandra-Kurla Complex, raising concerns about the specific targeting of his residences, namely Jalsa and Prateeksha in Mumbai.
Salman Khan's recent airport appearance was marked by a strong security presence, with armed guards accompanying him. He took a moment to acknowledge fans and reporters before entering the airport terminal. Currently, Khan is hosting the reality television show Bigg Boss Season 20 but was absent for the October 18 episode due to prior commitments. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty stepped in as a substitute host for that episode.
Khan is also set to take part in the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in 2027, further heightening public interest in his ongoing projects amidst these security concerns.
