Mika Singh Donates ₹11 Lakh to Rajpal Yadav Amid Legal Troubles
Singer Mika Singh offers financial support to actor Rajpal Yadav, who is serving a jail term related to cheque dishonour cases.

In a noteworthy gesture of solidarity, singer Mika Singh has pledged a sum of ₹11 lakh to assist actor Rajpal Yadav, who is currently serving a six-month sentence at Tihar Jail. Yadav surrendered on February 5, 2026, following a ruling by the Delhi High Court pertaining to multiple cases of cheque dishonour.

Mika Singh took to Instagram to communicate his message of both financial and moral support during this challenging period for Yadav. His post included a call for action, discouraging mere announcements on social media. "I have one humble request please don't just post announcements. Let's make sure we actually contribute and make it happen," Mika stated in his message.

Alongside this post, Mika shared a video appeal urging fellow members of the film industry to provide meaningful assistance rather than superficial gestures. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that financial contributions are properly organised and used effectively.

Fellow actors Sonu Sood, Guru Randhawa, and Gurmeet Choudhary have also voiced their support for Rajpal Yadav, encouraging others in the entertainment sector to come forward and help during this difficult time.

Yadav's imprisonment stems from a directive issued by the Delhi High Court after he failed to adhere to a surrender deadline related to the cheque dishonour cases. The court mandated that he surrender before further hearings could take place. This situation resulted from multiple violations of agreements regarding repayment to a complainant company.

During the court proceedings, Yadav's legal counsel indicated that the actor was willing to pay ₹25 lakh immediately and that both parties were tentatively working towards a repayment plan for the remaining balance. However, the court denied any reprieve, emphasising that Yadav was previously ordered to surrender by February 4, 2026. Justice Sharma noted that since the actor did not comply with the surrender order, he would only be heard after his submission to the jail authorities.

Following his surrender, Rajpal Yadav is eligible to file appropriate legal applications in line with the law. As Yadav navigates these legal and financial challenges, various figures from the film industry have stepped up to express their support, highlighting a strong sense of community during his time of need.
