Vin Diesel Hints at Cristiano Ronaldo Role in Next Fast & Furious Film
Vin Diesel teases a potential role for Cristiano Ronaldo in the upcoming Fast & Furious film, marking an exciting development for fans.

Vin Diesel, the prominent actor and producer of the Fast & Furious franchise, has suggested that professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo may join the cast of the next installment in the series. In a recent post on Instagram, Diesel shared a photograph of himself alongside Ronaldo, both giving a thumbs-up, and revealed that he has crafted a role specifically for the athlete.

"Everyone has asked if he would be part of the Fast mythology
I have to tell you he is a real one," Diesel wrote in his post, indicating excitement about the potential collaboration. "We wrote a role for him
"

As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding Ronaldo's participation in the upcoming film, which is anticipated to be the eleventh in the franchise. Diesel has previously mentioned that the character of Brian O’Conner, portrayed by the late actor Paul Walker, might also make an appearance in this film. During an event at Fuel Fest in June, Diesel disclosed that the film is set to be released in April 2027, following an agreement he made with Universal Studios under three specific conditions.

"Just yesterday I was with Universal Studios... The studio asked me, 'Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious in April 2027?' I said, 'Under three conditions because I’ve been listening to my fan base,'" Diesel explained. He expressed a desire for the franchise to return to its roots by focusing on the culture of car enthusiasts and street racing while also reuniting his character, Dominic Toretto, with Brian O’Conner.

"The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner," Diesel emphasised. "That is what you’re going to get in the finale."

Paul Walker tragically passed away in a car accident on November 30, 2013, while filming for Fast & Furious 7. At the time of his death, not all of his scenes had been completed. However, through the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI), visual effects, and the assistance of his two brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, the filmmakers were able to incorporate Brian O’Conner into the final moments of the film.

The concluding scene of Fast & Furious 7 featured Diesel’s character and Walker’s character sharing a poignant farewell in their vehicles before parting ways. Joe Letteri, the visual effects supervisor, previously explained to The Hollywood Reporter how they achieved this emotional moment through advanced technology, ensuring that the tribute to Walker was respectful and meaningful.

"There really wasn’t room to let anything slip. It was too important to complete the story in respect to Paul’s memory — to make sure that when you watched it, you didn’t think about any of the work that we did," he stated. "If you were a fan, you were watching Paul’s performance and saying goodbye."
