Sunny Deol Recalls Midnight Call with Preity Zinta
Sunny Deol revealed a memorable late-night call with Preity Zinta, showcasing their longtime friendship as they promote their upcoming film.

Sunny Deol, known for his commanding performances, shared a humorous anecdote about a late-night incident involving actress Preity Zinta. The two actors, who have worked together in several films, are collaborating once again in the upcoming movie 'Batwara 1947'. This film also marks Zinta's return to Bollywood after a hiatus.

During a recent appearance on the game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 18', where they were joined by fellow actor Aamir Khan, Zinta reminisced about her friendship with the Deol brothers. She specifically mentioned her long-standing rapport with Bobby Deol, stating, 'Bobby is my friend. I have known him even before he and I made our debut in the movies.'

Zinta recalled an instance when she thought it would be fine to call Bobby late at night. However, since mobile phones were not prevalent at the time, the call was made to the Deol household's landline. Instead of Bobby, it was Sunny who picked up.

Preity recounted, 'I called. I didn’t know that his dhai kilo ka haath would take the call. I said, ‘Hi, can I speak to Bobby please?’ I think it must have been 10:30-11 pm at night. And he said, ‘Is this the time to call anyone’s home?’'

Sunny later reflected on his protective nature towards his brother, saying, 'We were not allowed to go out after 8 pm. And it was around 10:30 pm. I see Bobby as my son, so I was always very strict with him, in terms of discipline.'

This incident emerged during their promotional tour for 'Batwara 1947', set to release on August 14. The film tells the story of a family seeking refuge in Lahore during the turmoil following the partition of India and Pakistan. As the family discovers a Hindu woman hiding in their house, they make it their mission to protect her amidst the chaos, highlighting themes of humanity and resilience during difficult times.

This engaging narrative between Zinta and Sunny Deol illustrates their camaraderie and provides a glimpse into the dynamics of their longstanding friendship as they reunite on screen.
