In his tribute, Modi referred to her as a 'soulful voice fallen silent', reflecting on the deep impact her music had on the hearts of many.

Kalyanpur was born on January 28, 1937, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She later moved to Mumbai with her family in 1943. In her later years, Kalyanpur continued to inspire new generations of musicians and audiences alike. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on, celebrated by those who were touched by her art.
