Skoda Kodiaq in India Now Features Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Skoda introduces ADAS and LED Matrix headlights to the Kodiaq in India, enhancing safety features across specific trims.

Skoda has announced updates to the Kodiaq in India, which will now include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and LED Matrix headlights. This change comes after the second-generation Kodiaq had been available in Indian markets without these features.

The ADAS integration marks a significant development for the SUV, which had initially launched without these enhancements. Customers can expect the inclusion of seven driver assistance technologies, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist, Lane Assist, and more. However, these features will only be available in the mid-tier Sportline trim and the top-tier Selection L&K trim, not in the base Lounge variant.

The Lounge trim offers a five-seat configuration, while the Sportline and Selection L&K trims come equipped with seven seats. Thus, consumers who wish to benefit from the advanced safety technology must opt for the larger, seven-seat options.

The addition of LED Matrix headlights is another noteworthy enhancement. Previously unavailable in the Indian market, this feature is now included in the Sportline and Selection L&K variants. The front light strip, which was limited to the Selection L&K trim, will now also be standard on the Sportline trim. Furthermore, the availability of the 360-degree camera system has been extended to the Sportline trim, enhancing safety and usability.

Under the hood, the Kodiaq continues to be powered by the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, transmitting power to all four wheels. This engine delivers 150 kW (201 hp) and 320 Nm of torque, with an impressive fuel economy of 14.86 km/l.

Pricing details for the updated Kodiaq are yet to be released. Previously, the Lounge trim was priced at ₹39,99,000, while the Sportline and Selection L&K trims were priced at ₹43,99,000 and ₹46,49,000, respectively. The Lounge trim’s pricing is expected to remain unchanged, though increases are likely for the Sportline and Selection L&K models due to the new features added.
