Shraddha Kapoor Stars in Biographical Drama 'Eetha'

Shraddha Kapoor is set to appear in the upcoming biographical drama 'Eetha', with the teaser released on June 23, 2026. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar, known for his previous work on 'Chhaava'. Alongside Kapoor, the cast includes notable actors such as Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, and Anant Joshi in significant roles.

The teaser opens with scenes of a large crowd eagerly awaiting a dance performance. As the atmosphere builds, a pregnant woman’s scream cuts through, revealing that Eetha, played by Shraddha Kapoor, is a celebrated Marathi Lavani folk dancer. She is depicted dancing captivatingly despite having just delivered her baby, drawing the audience’s full attention without divulging much of the plot.

'Eetha' is inspired by the life of the legendary Marathi dancer Vithabai Narayangaonkar, revered for her Lavani and Tamasha performances. This film represents a reunion for Shraddha Kapoor and producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, following their collaboration on the successful 'Stree' films.

Written by Kshitij Pathwardhan and filmed by Akash Agrawal, the film will feature music composed by the acclaimed duo Ajay-Atul. 'Eetha' is slated for theatrical release on August 28, 2026.
