Sharad Pawar Hospitalised in Pune for Throat Infection
Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune due to throat infection. His condition is stable following medical assessment.

Sharad Pawar, a prominent leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was transported from Baramati to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after experiencing a throat infection. His family confirmed that he was admitted to the hospital following health issues that included coughing and difficulty in breathing. The transfer occurred on Monday afternoon.

Upon his arrival at the Pune facility, medical personnel conducted several tests to assess his condition. According to Dr. Abhijit Lodha of Ruby Hall Clinic, Pawar’s vital parameters are stable, and he is under treatment for chest congestion. It was advised that he would require a course of antibiotics lasting five days.

Supriya Sule, Pawar's daughter and a member of the Lok Sabha, provided updates on his health, reassuring the public with a statement: "Baba has chest congestion. Fortunately, all other vital parameters are normal. Thank you for all your good wishes and support."

Dr. Lodha noted that the veteran politician's condition did not necessitate intensive care, indicating that he was admitted to a private room. Plans regarding his further treatment will be determined once the test results become available.

Family members, including Sule and Sadanand Sule, were present with Pawar at the hospital. Grand-nephew Rohit Pawar also arrived shortly after his admission. In the wake of family tragedy, following the recent death of Ajit Pawar, the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Sharad Pawar has been involved in numerous condolence meetings, which may have contributed to his current health issues.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his concern, stating, "Our prayers and best wishes are there for his speedy recovery. I am sure he will recover well, quite soon." Rohit Pawar urged party members to maintain hospital protocol and not to crowd the facility, asserting, "There is nothing to fear or worry. What has happened to him is due to physical stress."

As the situation develops, the medical team is expected to continue monitoring Sharad Pawar's health closely before deciding whether he may need additional treatment in Mumbai. The latest reports from the hospital have reassured the public of his stability following his admission.
