Banda, located in Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand region, recorded an exceptionally high temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, 28 April 2026. This increase in temperature is part of a severe heatwave currently affecting several areas of the state, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Other regions in Uttar Pradesh also reported elevated temperatures. Orai reached 43.8 degrees Celsius, while Jhansi recorded 42.4 degrees Celsius. The towns of Fatehgarh and Hamirpur had temperatures of 42.2 degrees Celsius each, and Agra experienced 42.1 degrees Celsius.
