Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 Series Launch Date and Features
Samsung announces the Galaxy S26 series launch for February 25, featuring advanced AI integration and expected specifications.

Samsung Electronics has officially revealed the launch date for its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is scheduled for February 25, 2026. The event, titled Galaxy Unpacked 2026, is anticipated to introduce three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The new series is set to feature a significant emphasis on Galaxy AI integration, marking what Samsung describes as a new phase in the role of artificial intelligence in smartphones. A statement from the company highlighted, "The new Galaxy S series is coming: built to simplify everyday interactions, inspire confidence, and make Galaxy AI feel seamlessly integrated from the moment it’s in hand."

Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to utilise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, while the base and Plus models may feature Samsung's in-house developed Exynos 2600 processor. Users can also expect a substantial performance boost, with the series potentially offering up to 16 GB of RAM and storage options reaching up to 1 terabyte.

In terms of camera technology, changes appear minimal compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to retain a 200-megapixel main lens, while the S26 and S26+ are expected to sport a 50-megapixel main camera. The front-facing selfie camera is anticipated to remain at 12 megapixels.

Battery life may see slight improvements, with the base model predicted to come with a 4,500 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery, followed by a 4,900 mAh for the Plus model and a more powerful 5,500 mAh for the Ultra variant. The series is expected to maintain support for 45W fast charging.

Display sizes are also tailored for premium experiences, with the Galaxy S26 featuring a 6.3-inch display, the S26+ boasting a 6.7-inch screen, and the S26 Ultra offering a 6.9-inch display.

Pricing for the Galaxy S26 series is expected to start above ₹80,000 for the base model in India, with the Plus variant potentially exceeding ₹100,000, while the Ultra model bears the highest price tag.

The Galaxy S26 series launch will be streamed live at 11.30 p.m. IST, providing fans and tech enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the new features and specifications in detail.
