Samsung India Achieves Guinness World Records with Photography Initiative
Samsung India's 'India #WithGalaxy' photography campaign sets two Guinness World Records, showcasing cultural diversity through digital art.

Samsung India has announced that its recent initiative, known as the 'India #WithGalaxy' campaign, has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records. This photography challenge, which focused on showcasing the diverse cultural landscape of India, achieved two significant global milestones in mass participation and digital content creation.

Running from December 30, 2025, to January 26, 2026, the campaign encouraged citizens across India to document their surroundings using Samsung Galaxy S Series smartphones. The initiative garnered an impressive 31,331 submissions from participants nationwide, reflecting a rich tapestry of Indian life.

The campaign was spearheaded by renowned filmmaker Kabir Khan and supported by over 30 regional photographers who facilitated the documentation of stories from various parts of the country. The project aimed to create a 'visual mosaic' by categorising submissions into four distinct themes: Faces of India, Sights of India, Spirit of India, and Colours of India.

Samsung's flagship Galaxy S Series, first launched in 2010, has consistently been at the forefront of mobile photography. This latest campaign leveraged the technical capabilities of these devices to empower individuals in sharing their unique perspectives.

Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of the MX Business at Samsung India, expressed pride in the campaign’s achievements. He stated, 'The India #WithGalaxy campaign unites people and celebrates the essence of a nation. By setting two Guinness World Records, we have showcased the capabilities of the Galaxy S Series and amplified the voices of our consumers who celebrate India’s diversity, beauty, and spirit through their lenses.'

The recognised records included the largest smartphone photography competition and the most contributions to an online photo-based artwork. A formal presentation ceremony was held to acknowledge these records, attended by Samsung executives and a Guinness World Records adjudicator.

The comprehensive collection of images formed a large-scale digital artwork that portrayed the cultural diversity, landscapes, and everyday moments across India. By encouraging community-led storytelling, Samsung aimed to highlight not only the imaging prowess of its devices but also the power of collaboration among participants.

This initiative marks a significant milestone for Samsung in India, showcasing its commitment to innovation and cultural storytelling, as well as setting a precedent for future digital engagement campaigns.
