Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8 Surpass Pre-order Expectations
Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8 exceed pre-order targets across Europe and Asia, breaking records from previous models.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on July 22, 2026, with availability starting August 7, 2026. Within a short period, these foldable smartphones have significantly outperformed pre-order expectations across various markets, particularly in Europe.

According to Samsung, pre-orders for the new devices in Europe have exceeded the company’s targets. In fact, the total pre-orders surpassed last year's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 by 20% in the first 11 days following their announcement. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold8 has made a substantial impact, accounting for nearly 40% of the total pre-orders in the region.

The success of these foldable devices is not limited to Europe. In India, the Flip8 and the Fold8 models achieved 271,000 pre-orders within just 72 hours of their launch. This performance is particularly impressive when compared to the 15 days required by the Flip7 and Fold7 to reach the same pre-order milestone.

In Samsung's home country, South Korea, the new devices have also demonstrated remarkable demand. The Flip8 and Fold8 series garnered 1.44 million pre-orders within the first week, breaking the previous record of 1.38 million pre-orders set by the Galaxy Note10 series, which had been achieved over an 11-day period.

These numbers highlight a growing trend towards foldable technology, with Samsung now poised to lead the market with its latest offerings. Pre-orders for the new models are strong indicators of consumer interest in innovative smartphone designs.
