Samsung Electronics is preparing to reveal its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, in a highly anticipated launch event. Set for February 25, 2026, this event will take place in San Francisco, showcasing the company's advancements in design, camera technology, and performance capabilities. Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the details, leaks and reports have provided substantial insights into what consumers can expect from these new devices.

According to popular rumours, significant design changes will be introduced in the Galaxy S26 line. The series is expected to feature a unified camera module design akin to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Specifically, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely showcase more rounded corners and new colour options, including a purple variant alongside traditional colours such as black, white, and silver. The S26 Ultra is expected to measure slightly thinner than its predecessor, the S25 Ultra, at 7.9 mm, enhancing its overall aesthetic.

Display specifications are also a focal point, with the standard Galaxy S26 anticipated to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to host a 4,300mAh battery, an upgrade from the 4,000mAh found in the Galaxy S25, while the Galaxy S26 Plus may feature a 4,900mAh battery. Additionally, there are indications that the new series may include support for Qi2 wireless charging, compatible with Apple's MagSafe technology.

Following the launch event, Samsung is likely to commence pre-orders the next day, February 26, 2026, with retail sales expected to begin on March 11, 2026. Although official pricing remains unannounced, industry speculation suggests that the S26 Ultra may start around $1,299 for the base model with 256GB of storage. In India, prices are estimated to begin at ₹1,34,999 for the 256GB variant, with more costly options available for increased storage capacities. Samsung has reportedly standardised the base model to 256GB, phasing out the smaller 128GB option to enhance its premium positioning.
