Sachet-Parampara Challenge Amaal Mallik Over Bekhayali Dispute
Music duo Sachet-Parampara confront Amaal Mallik regarding authorship claims of the song Bekhayali from the film Kabir Singh, stirring online debate.

In a public response, music duo Sachet and Parampara Tandon have addressed allegations made by composer Amaal Mallik concerning the origins of their song 'Bekhayali,' featured in the 2019 film 'Kabir Singh.' The duo's statement follows repeated claims from Mallik regarding his supposed connection to the track, prompting them to release a video on social media to clarify the situation.

The video, posted on Instagram, was accompanied by a caption that read: 'Warning. This video could have been a 10-second proof to shut down all rumours, but exposing some people became important for our mental peace. @amaal_mallik SHAME ON YOU AMAAL MALIK.' Through this strong statement, Sachet and Parampara sought to address what they consider misinformation about the song's authorship.

In their video, they asserted that the creation of 'Bekhayali' was entirely their own work, developed during collaborative sessions with actor Shahid Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. They emphasised that all melodies, arrangements, and lyrics were crafted during these meetings, firmly stating, 'We are talking about Bekhayali, which Amaal Mallik claims he made some time ago.'

The duo also provided context regarding their professional history, clarifying that they had no prior affiliation with T-Series, the record label associated with Mallik, before the release of 'Kabir Singh.' They pointed out that Mallik has been connected with T-Series since 2015, suggesting that any assertions of favouritism are unfounded.

Sachet and Parampara highlighted their possession of complete chat records with both Mallik and the 'Kabir Singh' team, aimed at proving their claims. They expressed their discontent with Mallik's public statements, which they believe mislead fans and detract from their own achievements. They stated, 'Success comes from consistent hard work, not insider–outsider politics.'

The controversy surrounding 'Bekhayali' has generated significant discourse online, with fans divided in their opinions. Following the release of the video, many supporters of Sachet and Parampara praised their decision to confront Mallik, while others defended the composer, citing previous allegations of the duo allegedly copying another artist's work.

As the dispute escalates, both sides remain steadfast in their positions. Sachet and Parampara have demanded a public apology from Mallik, warning of potential legal action should the situation remain unresolved. The public now awaits a response from Amaal Mallik, as the situation continues to develop in the arena of social media and public opinion.
