Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has released a health update following reports of her hip injury sustained during the filming of her upcoming movie, Mysaa. After days of absence from social media, the actress posted on Instagram to explain her situation and reassure fans that she is recovering well. Rashmika shared a series of candid images showcasing her recovery journey at home. The pictures included cheerful selfies, delicious treats, engaging puzzle activities, heartwarming moments with her pet dogs, and thoughtful gifts from fans and friends. In her post, she expressed her thoughts on the injury: “Injuries suck.. and I was really hoping that no one will get to know.. but well. Sorry I’ve been MIA but hieeee! I’m hereeee!” She elaborated on her injury, explaining, “It happened awhile ago… this is my 3rd injury back to back.. I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.” Rashmika described her injury in detail—specifically, a tendon in her right hip had detached during a dance shoot for Mysaa, which is described as the most demanding film she has ever undertaken. The actress reassured fans that while the pain exists, it is not unbearable. She added, “I feel like this is god saying you’ll never take a break if it’s left to you so here… let me do it for you!” Addressing her recovery process, she mentioned the challenges posed by her inability to exercise. Rashmika stated, “Really really trying not to put on weight... if I can’t workout then what do I doooo.. I eat.. and I become a dessert monster…” Rashmika Mandanna is currently focused on her role in Mysaa, which features an underwater fight sequence deemed to be a first for Indian cinema with a female lead. Directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, Mysaa is characterised as an emotional action thriller set in tribal regions. It marks Rashmika's debut as the lead in a pan-Indian action film. The first look of Mysaa was revealed in July 2025, showcasing Rashmika in a fierce pose, ready for action. The film is slated for a 2026 release, with both the official release date and a teaser to be announced soon. Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in the Hindi film Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania. Despite receiving mixed critical reviews, the film has achieved box office success, grossing over ₹140 crore globally.
