Ranveer Singh lauds Sara Arjun as a prodigy, comparing her to Dakota Fanning at the 'Dhurandhar' trailer launch in Mumbai.

The trailer for the upcoming film 'Dhurandhar' was unveiled in Mumbai on Tuesday, generating significant buzz within the film community. Ranveer Singh, a prominent figure in Bollywood, expressed his admiration for his 20-year-old co-star, Sara Arjun, who is making her debut in the industry with this film. Singh described her as a child prodigy and drew a parallel between her and acclaimed Hollywood actress Dakota Fanning.

In remarks made during the trailer launch, Ranveer Singh praised Sara Arjun's talent, stating, "Sara here is a prodigy; you can tell that some people have a gift from a young age. Much like Dakota Fanning in Hollywood. It’s remarkable that you surpassed thousands of other candidates to secure this role. It feels like you have already completed 50 films before this. You are incredibly precocious as both a person and a performer. You rank among the finest actors I have worked with."

Furthermore, Singh acknowledged Sara's previous performances, specifically referencing her role as a young Nandini in the period drama 'Ponniyin Selvan', directed by Mani Ratnam. He remarked, "You make me look better, and I am genuinely grateful for that. I can hardly believe this is your first film. Clearly, you have experience in Mani Ratnam's projects, and now the world will witness your potential."

Sara Arjun gained recognition in 2011 for her portrayal of Vikram's daughter in the Tamil film 'Deiva Thirumagal' and received critical acclaim for her performance in the 2014 film 'Saivam', produced by Vijay.

Overview of 'Dhurandhar'

'Dhurandhar' is the brainchild of writer, director, and co-producer Aditya Dhar, alongside co-producers Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes notable actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, in addition to Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The film's score has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev and is set for release on December 5, 2025.

Anticipation Surrounding the Film

The trailer's release has sparked considerable excitement not only among fans but also within the broader film industry. Comments from fellow actress Deepika Padukone highlighted this enthusiasm, as she referred to Ranveer Singh as a "chameleon" on social media, reflecting his ability to embody various roles. Her comment, "The Chameleon is back!", resonated widely, further elevating interest in the film.

The film's narrative, described as gritty and inspired by real events, focuses on themes of counter-terrorism and features intense action sequences. R. Madhavan plays a key role as Ajay Sanyal, an intelligence officer, who declares in the trailer, "We must infiltrate the very core of terrorism in Pakistan," encapsulating the film's overarching message.

Ranveer Singh has expressed a desire to elevate Indian cinema on the global stage, stating, "We aimed to create a presentation that stands alongside any film globally. Our goal was to enhance every aspect of the cinematic experience, resulting in a film we can all take pride in as Indians."

As anticipation builds for 'Dhurandhar', the film promises to deliver an engaging story coupled with high-quality production values, aiming to showcase the depth of Indian filmmaking to a wider audience.
