Ramayana Trailer Set for Release During Brahma Muhurat

The producers of the much-anticipated film Ramayana have announced a new release date for its trailer, which is now set to debut during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta. Initially scheduled for release on July 24, the trailer's unveiling has garnered considerable excitement among fans.

Namit Malhotra, one of the producers, shared the announcement via Instagram, stating that the trailer will be launched globally, enhancing the visibility of Indian cinema. He expressed pride in showcasing Ramayana on an international platform, aiming to highlight the richness of Indian culture. Malhotra stated, "This is special as it opens the door for people of the world to discover the richness of our culture and our stories with renewed pride and enthusiasm."

Fan anticipation is palpable, with many expressing their willingness to wake up early to catch the trailer's debut. Notably, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has also expressed enthusiasm for the launch, remarking, "Can’t wait," on social media.

The Ramayana trailer will be featured alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to release on July 30, 2026. Moviegoers attending the screening will have the opportunity to view both the trailer for Ramayana and that of another major upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday. Film industry analyst Taran Adarsh shared this news on X, drawing attention to the dual excitement for film buffs in cinemas.

In a noteworthy business development, Ramayana has secured a significant music deal with T-Series, reportedly valued at ₹75 crore (approximately £7.5 million). According to Hindustan Times, this deal is considered competitive, with T-Series acquiring the rights as a refundable advance—a rather unusual arrangement for such a substantial figure. An associate from T-Series confirmed the acquisition, stating, "T-Series has acquired the music rights of Ramayana. Bhushan Kumar and the senior leadership at T-Series are supremely confident about the potential of the film’s soundtrack."

The film, developed on a budget of Rs 4,000 crore (around £400 million), features a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash portraying Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Ramayana will be released in two parts, with the first expected to hit theatres during Diwali in 2026, followed by the second part a year later, during Diwali in 2027. This ambitious project aims to blend traditional narratives with modern cinematic flair, appealing to both Indian and global audiences.
