Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan's Film Hits Snag as Director Exits
Fans of Indian cinema were thrilled when the announcement of a new film featuring legendary actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan was made public. However, the project has encountered a significant setback even before filming has commenced. Director Sundar C has officially stepped down from his role in the film, which has been tentatively titled 'Thalaivar 173'.
Sundar C's withdrawal was disclosed by his wife, Khushbu Sundar, on her social media platform. Shortly after the announcement, the post was removed. Despite this, the statement has since been widely circulated on social media.
In the statement, Sundar C expressed his regret and explained that he had to make the tough decision to withdraw due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. He stated, "It is with a heavy heart that I share some important news with you. Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to step back from the prestigious project Thalaivar 173."
He further remarked, "In life, there are moments when we must follow the path laid out for us, even if it diverges from our dreams. My association with these two icons goes back a long way, and I will always hold them in the highest regard. The special moments we have shared over the past few days will be cherished forever by me. They have taught me invaluable lessons, and I will continue to seek their inspiration and wisdom as I move forward."
Sundar C extended his apologies to both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, noting, "Although I am stepping away from this opportunity, I shall continue to seek their expert guidance. I thank both of them from the bottom of my heart for considering me for this magnum opus. Please accept my sincere apologies if this news has disappointed those who had eagerly anticipated this venture. I am committed to making it up to you and promise to continue bringing you entertainment that keeps your spirits high."
He concluded his message by expressing gratitude for the support he has received, stating, "Thank you for your unwavering support and understanding. It means the world to me, and I look forward to creating more memories with you all."
The collaboration between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan has been highly anticipated, with both actors teasing their reunion since before the release of the film 'Coolie'. Kamal Haasan was last seen in Mani Ratnamâs film 'Thug Life' and is currently engaged in an undisclosed project. As of now, no information has been released regarding a new director for the film.
