Raja Shivaji Teaser Released: Riteish Deshmukh as a Historical Hero

The teaser for the much-anticipated period drama 'Raja Shivaji' was unveiled on March 31, 2026. Actor Riteish Deshmukh assumes the role of the renowned Maratha leader Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, marking both his performance in front of the camera and his directorial debut.

In the two-minute and thirty-one-second teaser, viewers get a glimpse of Deshmukh as he showcases the fierce confrontations between the Maratha empire and the Mughals. His real-life spouse, Genelia Deshmukh, features as Saibai, Shivaji's wife, enriching the film's personal dynamics.

The teaser also introduces a notable cast including Sanjay Dutt as Afzal Khan and Abhishek Bachchan portraying Sambhaji Shahaji Bhosale. Mahesh Manjrekar takes on the role of Lakhuji Jadhav, contributing to a robust ensemble that increases anticipation for the film.
