PwC US and PwC India Announce Joint Venture for Enhanced Consulting
PwC US and PwC India have formed a joint venture to unify their consulting operations and enhance service delivery across global markets.

PwC US and PwC India have unveiled a joint venture that combines their respective consulting arms, aimed at bolstering service delivery for clients globally. This venture integrates PwC India's consulting business with the capabilities of PwC US's India-based operations, thereby creating a unified platform designed to meet the needs of clients in India, the United States, and beyond.

The emergence of this joint venture highlights India's growing importance as a critical market for global businesses. Recognised for its expanding innovation and talent pool, India continues to play a pivotal role in the operations of multinational corporations. Clients are increasingly seeking deeper expertise and more streamlined access to service capabilities across market boundaries.

Paul Griggs, Senior Partner and CEO of PwC US, noted the significance of this collaboration, stating, "The firms that win will be the ones that stop thinking about markets, capabilities, and delivery as separate pieces. That's what makes this combination so powerful." Griggs emphasized that the new structure is not confined to where work is performed but focuses instead on creating a combined strength that can address clients' needs directly.

The integrated platform is designed to encompass a comprehensive range of consulting services, including strategic guidance, technological innovations, engineering solutions, and artificial intelligence. This initiative also aims to enhance PwC's capacity to support US-based companies operating Global Capability Centers in India, thereby streamlining cross-border collaborations.

The joint venture represents a critical step toward advancing PwC's ambition of establishing a more globally integrated consulting framework. This strategy is expected to facilitate shared access to the joint resources and expertise from both firms, augmented by their combined reputation.

Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India and the anticipated CEO of the new joint entity, expressed pride in the venture. He remarked, "This joint venture is a testimony to the tremendous journey of growth we have been on over the last five years and our position of strength in the network." Krishan added that the collaboration allows for better client service by amalgamating the resources of both firms, ultimately benefiting their respective clientele.

The financial specifics surrounding the venture have not been publicly disclosed. The transaction is projected to be completed in the first half of 2027, pending necessary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Until that date, both PwC US and PwC India will continue operating in their existing frameworks to provide uninterrupted client services.

Overall, this joint venture marks a significant milestone in the evolution of consulting services by bringing together the strengths of two leading firms to better serve a diverse clientele across industries and geographical boundaries.
