Prabhas' Upcoming Film The Raja Saab Set for January 2026 Release

The upcoming film The Raja Saab, featuring pan-Indian star Prabhas, has stirred interest following recent speculation about its release date. Rumours circulating on social media had suggested that the film's premiere might be postponed from its initially scheduled date of January 6, 2026.

In response to these claims, the production company, People Media Factory, issued a statement on November 4, 2025, clarifying that The Raja Saab will indeed be released on January 9, 2026, as a special offering for the Sankranthi festival, which is celebrated widely in India.

The official communication from the production team noted that visual effects (VFX) and other essential post-production processes are progressing swiftly. They also mentioned that comprehensive release plans are being created to ensure that audiences worldwide can enjoy the film in various formats, including IMAX.

Furthermore, the filmmakers announced that the first complete version of The Raja Saab is expected to be ready by December 25, 2025. In anticipation of the film's release, a significant promotional event is scheduled to be held in the United States in December.

Director Maruthi is at the helm of this project, which is being touted as one of the most ambitious films in the Telugu film industry, known as Tollywood. Producer T G Vishwa Prasad has committed to maintaining high production values throughout the film's development.

The statement also highlighted the film's potential to enhance the festive atmosphere surrounding Sankranthi. “With these extensive preparations, The Raja Saab is poised to elevate the festive spirit of Sankranthi to the next level,” the production note stated, reflecting their confidence in the film's content.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies alongside Prabhas. Notable actor Sanjay Dutt will also play a significant role. The music for The Raja Saab is being composed by Thaman S, who is known for his work in various successful films.
