Eligible farmers will receive Rs 2,000 under the PM Kisan scheme on 20 June 2026, with over 9.44 crore beneficiaries expected to benefit.

The 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) is set to be released by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20 June 2026. This event will be held in Tarakeswar, located in Hooghly district, West Bengal. Under this initiative, the government plans to distribute a total of ₹18,880 crore to over 9.44 crore beneficiaries. The official PM-Kisan website confirms that the funds will be disbursed at 3:45 PM.

The PM Kisan scheme, introduced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, offers annual income support of Rs 6,000 to eligible farmers, divided into three installments of Rs 2,000 each. In the previous installment, which occurred on 13 March 2026, more than 9.35 crore beneficiaries received a total of Rs 18,640 crore via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which directly credits funds to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.

Notably, the 22nd installment also saw over 2.15 crore women farmer beneficiaries receiving support. To assist beneficiaries in monitoring their payment status, the 'Know Your Status (KYS)' module on the PM-Kisan portal is available for checking eligibility, land seeding information, Aadhaar linking, and e-KYC status.

This release will take place at Linganguntla village in Palnadu district and represents part of the state's commitment to supporting farmers through financial assistance.

Under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, each eligible farmer family will receive Rs 20,000 annually, with the central government contributing Rs 6,000 and the state government providing the remaining Rs 14,000.
