Nayanthara Unveiled as Ganga in Upcoming Film 'Toxic'
The first look of Nayanthara as Ganga in 'Toxic' has been revealed, showcasing her powerful role in the film releasing on March 19, 2026.

Mumbai: The production team behind 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' has released the first promotional image featuring actor Nayanthara in her role as Ganga. The film also stars Yash in the leading role and is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The newly unveiled poster, made public on Wednesday, portrays Nayanthara in a formidable pose, holding a firearm and standing at what appears to be the entrance of an expansive casino. This imagery hints at her character being a strong and fearless woman within the film’s narrative.

'Toxic' is set to be released in cinemas on March 19, 2026. Geetu Mohandas, the film's director, expressed her excitement about casting Nayanthara, stating her intention was to showcase the actress in a manner that differed from her previous roles. Mohandas remarked, "We all know Nayan as a celebrated star with a commanding screen presence, and a remarkable career spanning two decades, but in 'Toxic', audiences will witness a talent that had been quietly waiting to explode. I wanted to portray Nayan in a way that she's never been showcased before. But as the shoot progressed, I began to see how closely her own personality echoed the soul of the character."

'Toxic' has also introduced other cast members, including Kiara Advani in the role of Nadia and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth. This film marks Yash's return to the cinematic scene following his previous success in 'KGF: Chapter 2'. The project has garnered significant attention and is being produced in both Kannada and English, with plans for dubbed versions in multiple Indian languages.

The screenplay has been co-written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, while the production responsibilities lie with Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The technical team includes Rajeev Ravi as the cinematographer, Ravi Basrur as the music composer, and Ujwal Kulkarni as the editor. 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' is anticipated to release during a festive period that includes Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, drawing in audiences during this celebratory time.
