Nani Confirms No Trailer for Upcoming Film The Paradise
The upcoming film The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela and starring Nani, is scheduled for release on September 24. However, the film has not released a trailer, leaving fans curious about the project. Despite the expectations surrounding the film, fans are facing an unusual situation where they are introduced to the movie very close to its release date, without the typical promotional material that trailers often provide.
Nani confirmed in a press meeting that there will not be a trailer for The Paradise. He stated, “The Paradise will not have a trailer. Someone said that even if we don’t promote from now, the film has enough hype to sustain it. I am not taking the audience for granted, though.” This admission highlights a shift from the usual marketing strategy where trailers are used to generate excitement prior to a film's debut. A teaser for The Paradise was released in August, but no comprehensive trailer will follow.
During the same event, Nani addressed challenges the team has faced during production. He noted that while many teams are actively working towards delivering a quality film, the time constraints affected their ability to prepare a trailer that would meet their high standards. He explained, “If we give a trailer now, it needs to be stellar. To do that, we will have to set aside post-production for a few days.” Nani mentioned they had hoped to release a good trailer but decided against it given the circumstances.
Aside from discussing the marketing aspects of The Paradise, Nani talked about his collaboration with Srikanth Odela. He revealed that Odela had expressed concerns about his time management skills. According to Nani, Odela said, “He missed the mark when it comes to time management,” and expressed a desire to join renowned filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli as an assistant director after completing this project. Nani appreciated this sentiment, stating that, “We all need to better ourselves somewhere. A lot of us don’t realise that. But Srikanth did and said he wants to work with someone who’s good at it.”
This marks the second collaboration between Nani and Srikanth Odela following their earlier project, Dasara. The Paradise was initially set for a March release but faced delays, eventually locking in its current date of September 24. The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV Cinemas and also features Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, and Mohan Babu. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While early audience reviews for other films indicate interest in the Telugu cinema landscape, The Paradise's unique promotional strategy remains a topic of discussion among fans and industry observers alike.
