Mumbai Indians Reveal Retention List for WPL 2027 Season

Mumbai, 28 September 2026 – Mumbai Indians have officially revealed their retained players for the TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 season. The franchise has chosen to retain a core group of players, aiming for continuity in their squad while also planning to enhance their roster for the upcoming season.

The retained players include an interesting mix of seasoned athletes and promising newcomers. Notable names confirmed for retention are Harmanpreet Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Natalie Sciver-Brunt, Nicola Carey, Rahila Firdous, S. Sajana, Sanskriti Gupta, Shabnim Ismail, and Vaishnavi Sharma.

As part of their restructuring, Mumbai Indians have waived contracts for six players: Poonam Khemnar, Saika Ishaque, Triveni Vasistha, Nalla Reddy, Milly Illingworth, and G. Kamilini.
