Market Outlook: Buy Aster DM and AU Small Finance Bank for Gains
Investors advised to consider Aster DM and AU Small Finance Bank for potential near-term gains amid fluctuating market conditions.

The Nifty index experienced a downturn on Friday, primarily driven by declines in information technology stocks, with additional pressure from the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and energy sectors. The market has seen significant volatility over the past three sessions, attributed in part to escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.

Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, reported that the index hit resistance at its 100-day exponential moving average, which led to increased selling pressure that pushed it below the critical 24,000 mark. De indicated a bearish trend for the index, suggesting it could decline towards the 23,500 level. However, he noted that the immediate resistance is at 24,200, and breaking above this level may improve market sentiment.

Investors seeking potential opportunities are advised to explore two specific stocks:

Aster DM Healthcare Analysts recommend buying shares of Aster DM Healthcare with a stop loss set at ₹680 and a target price of ₹760. The stock recently achieved a classic cup-and-handle breakout on the daily chart, surpassing essential resistance at ₹695. It is currently trading above its 20-day exponential moving average, indicating strong bullish momentum. With a rising relative strength index at 57 and a notable increase in trading volume, analysts are optimistic about further price appreciation towards previous highs.

AU Small Finance Bank Another stock recommended for investment is AU Small Finance Bank, with a targeted stop loss of ₹1,020 and a potential target of ₹1,150. The bank's shares have shown a decisive breakout from a multi-month range on the weekly chart, reaching all-time highs supported by a robust volume increase. The relative strength index has entered bullish territory, exceeding 60, signalling strong trend momentum. The price has maintained itself above the support level of ₹1,030—previously a resistance level—suggesting a positive outlook for further gains.
