Marizanne Kapp Shines in ICC Women's T20 World Cup Victory

In a pivotal match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, Marizanne Kapp showcased her all-round skills to guide South Africa to victory over India at Old Trafford. Her performance was instrumental, comprising an unbeaten 81 runs off 45 balls, making her the Player of the Match.

Kapp's contribution began with her exceptional bowling, where she dismissed Indian opener Smriti Mandhana in the third over, disrupting India's momentum. 'At that stage, the biggest thing was just getting a bit of a partnership. It is sometimes so difficult batting in those periods of a T20 game because you can't afford to lose another wicket,' Kapp explained.
