Manchester United Draws 1-1 with PSG Amid Injury Concerns

Manchester United’s pre-season preparations took a turn on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg. The game was marked by fresh injury concerns, notably for Mason Mount and veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton. Bryan Mbeumo's goal secured the draw for Manchester United, but the performance raised worries about player fitness ahead of the new season.

The match began with United facing an early challenge. Ibrahim Mbaye scored for Paris Saint-Germain, giving the French champions a lead shortly after kickoff. Head coach Michael Carrick retained most of his starting lineup from the previous weekend's victory over Atletico Madrid, making just one substitution as Noussair Mazraoui replaced Leny Yoro.

In a twist of fate, Mount was substituted after just 20 minutes due to an injury to his left foot. 'I enjoyed it,' he remarked, adding, 'It’s good for the boys sometimes to have to problem solve and find their own way.'
