Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan attended the live streaming of the ninth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha programme on 6 February 2026. The event took place at the Kamban Kalaiarangam in Puducherry, aimed at providing guidance to students participating in upcoming board examinations.

The live stream was managed by the Education Department, enabling a wide array of students from both government and private schools to join in. The initiative, designed to foster interaction between the Prime Minister and students, has become an annual event geared towards alleviating exam-related stress.

Among the dignitaries present were Speaker R. Selvam, Home Minister A. Namassivayam, Secretary of Education Krishna Mohan Uppu, and the Director of the Education Department, Sivakumar. The Lieutenant Governor engaged with attendees and facilitated interactions among the students.

Two students, M. Keerthana from PM Shri KKGHSS in K.T. Kuppam and S. Rithika from Cauvery Public School in Karaikal, were acknowledged for their previous interactions with the Prime Minister at his residence as part of the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme. Both shared their experiences during this event, contributing personal insights into the discussion.

Pariksha Pe Charcha serves as a platform for students to express their concerns regarding examinations and receive valuable advice from the Prime Minister. The initiative is part of a larger effort to promote mental well-being among students during academic pressures. The Lieutenant Governor's involvement highlights the importance of educational support at various levels of government in India's Union Territory of Puducherry.
