Larsen & Toubro Q1 Profit Rises 14% Amid Strong Order Growth
Larsen & Toubro reports a 14% increase in Q1 profit, surpassing estimates, with robust order inflows and a 7% rise in revenue.

Larsen & Toubro Limited, one of India's largest infrastructure firms, announced a significant increase in its consolidated profit after tax for the first quarter ending June 30, 2026. The company reported a 14% year-on-year rise in profit, amounting to ₹4,123 crore, up from ₹3,617 crore in the same quarter last year. This result exceeded expectations in a poll conducted by CNBC-TV18, which had estimated the profit to be around ₹3,490 crore.

Additionally, Larsen & Toubro's revenue for the quarter rose by 7%, reflecting the company's strong operational performance and continued demand for its services in the infrastructure sector.

The company attributed its robust financial results to enhanced order inflows, indicating a strong pipeline of projects that are expected to contribute to future growth. This performance aligns with broader trends in the infrastructure industry, which has seen increased investments and government initiatives aimed at boosting economic development.

In parallel, other companies also released their quarterly earnings on July 28, 2026. For instance, Birlasoft reported a remarkable year-on-year increase of 51.2% in net profit, while Tata Capital’s profit surged by 56%. These developments underline a generally positive trend in various sectors of the Indian economy, suggesting a revival of business activities post-pandemic.

Larsen & Toubro continues to be a key player in the infrastructure space, and its current results highlight its resilience and potential for growth amidst evolving market conditions.
