Kiara Advani and Karan Johar Dazzle at Rahul Mishra's Fashion Event
Indian actress Kiara Advani and film director Karan Johar captivated audiences as they served as showstoppers for acclaimed designer Rahul Mishra on June 17. The event, held to launch a new Mercedes car, featured the duo in elegant all-black outfits designed by Mishra.
Kiara Advani wore a striking floor-length black gown tailored specifically for her from Mishra's collection. The ensemble featured an off-the-shoulder design with a plunging sweetheart neckline and a corseted bodice that accentuated her silhouette. Styled by celebrity stylist Lakshmi Lehr and Kashish Gaur, Kiara's look was further elevated by expert hair and makeup artistry from Nikita Menon and Lekha Gupta, respectively.
The gown's highlight was its voluminous skirt, which featured a pleated design and a balloon fit that was cinched at the ankles. To amplify the gown’s regal appeal, a train embellished with hand-painted floral patterns and motifs inspired by Vincent van Gogh's 'The Starry Night' added a colourful touch. Kiara accessorised with diamond earrings, statement rings, and bracelets, and completed her look with embellished black stilettos. Her hair was styled in loose waves, and her makeup emphasised her eyes with kohl and smoky shadows, juxtaposed against a soft nude lip.
Karan Johar joined Kiara on the runway, wearing a sophisticated black suit crafted by Rahul Mishra. His outfit consisted of a black blazer adorned with sparkling sequin embellishments arranged in a wavy pattern, evoking the motion of the ocean. Accents included a starfish-shaped brooch on the blazer’s lapel and a matching black shirt with unique raised collars. He complemented the suit with tapered black trousers that featured a fitted hem.
Johar's accessories included a diamond choker necklace and stylish black dress boots, with a clean-shaven look and neatly styled backswept hair completing his attire.
On the work front, Kiara Advani is set to feature in the film 'Toxic' alongside actor Yash, with director Geetu Mohandas revealing that Kiara was her first choice for the role, commending her dual ability to portray both fragility and strength. Kiara also has another project, 'Vvan', slated for release on August 28, 2026, a folklore-inspired thriller in which she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra, following a delay from its initial release date of May 15.
