Jungkook Discusses ARIRANG Tour and Collaboration with Hublot
BTS member Jungkook has opened up about his experiences during the ongoing ARIRANG world tour and his partnership with Hublot, a Swiss watch brand. The 28-year-old artist recently participated in a photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar Korea, where he demonstrated a sense of ease that he had not experienced in previous photography sessions.
In the interview, Jungkook expressed that he typically feels tense during photoshoots. 'I’ve done these shoots so many times, but I never get comfortable. You’re just holding a pose, waiting for the click; it’s not where I feel natural,' he stated. However, this particular session felt different, as he described the atmosphere, pacing, and overall vibe as seamless, leading to an enjoyable experience. 'Everything from the vibe to the pace felt right,' he noted.
The ARIRANG world tour, which commenced at Goyang Stadium, marks BTS’s return to the stage after a significant hiatus. Jungkook recalled the anticipation leading up to the tour, stating, 'We spent ages preparing, rehearsals, vocals, choreography. All of it. When it was finally happening, fear just disappeared.' He likened stepping onto the stage to 'entering a whole new universe,' noting the overwhelming energy from the audience.
While acknowledging the challenges of performing live, he shared that he thrives in that environment. 'When I’m singing, dancing, and hearing the crowd go wild, that’s when I feel totally alive,' Jungkook explained. Despite the physical exertion, he relishes the chaotic atmosphere that comes with live performances.
When discussing his connection with Hublot, Jungkook expressed an intangible bond with the brand, indicating that their artistic vision aligns. 'I think the vibes match. I just trust what my gut tells me... There’s always been this connection,' he shared. He emphasised that his appreciation for Hublot is based on instinct rather than specifications or brand legacy, reflecting a philosophy shared in both music and watchmaking.
Jungkook’s full interview and photoshoot will be featured in the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea. Fans around the world can look forward to seeing his artistic expression and thoughts on both his career and current projects.
