Israeli Ambassador Celebrates Hindi Diwas, Compares Languages

Reuven Azar, the Israeli Ambassador to India, marked Hindi Diwas by expressing his admiration for the Hindi language. Celebrated annually on September 14, Hindi Diwas commemorates the adoption of Hindi as one of India's official languages in 1949. Azar described Hindi as an ancient language, akin to Hebrew, and stated that languages are intrinsic to a nation’s identity and heritage.

In his statement, Azar noted that the linguistic ties between India and Israel extend beyond mere diplomacy, reflecting a shared cultural appreciation.
