International Match Officials for Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Announced
The ICC confirms an all-female panel of match officials for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup, featuring 14 umpires and four referees.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the complete list of match officials for the group stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. A historic all-female panel has been appointed, reflecting a significant step towards gender equality in cricket officiating. This year's tournament will include 14 umpires and four match referees, tasked with overseeing a record 33 matches.

Jacquline Williams and Eloise Sheridan have been selected as the on-field umpires for the opening match, which will take place on 12 June at Edgbaston, where hosts England are set to face Sri Lanka. This event marks an important occasion as Claire Polosak, who has officiated at five T20 World Cups, will be involved as the television umpire, while GS Lakshmi serves as the match referee for the opening game.

Following the opening fixture, multiple matches will commence on 13 June, including a highly anticipated match between Australia and South Africa at Old Trafford. On that day, Candace La Borde and Shathira Jakir Jessy will work as on-field umpires for Scotland's match against Ireland, marking their debut in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Kerrin Klaaste will also officiate her first T20 World Cup match as the television umpire for the game featuring New Zealand and the West Indies at the Hampshire Bowl on the same day. Gayathri Venugopalan is set to make her debut the following day when Bangladesh takes on the Netherlands at Edgbaston. That match is part of a double-header, which will also include the much-anticipated encounter between India and Pakistan, to be overseen by umpires Claire Polosak and Jacquline Williams.

The group stage consists of 30 matches played between 12 and 28 June, with the two top teams from both Groups A and B advancing to the semi-finals. The ICC has indicated that match officials for the semi-finals and final will be announced at a later date.

The comprehensive list of match officials for the tournament has been published along with the match schedule, illustrating the ICC's commitment to women's cricket and support for female match officials.
