IndiGo Flight Experiences Tail Strike at Bengaluru Airport

Mumbai: An IndiGo flight travelling from Guwahati to Bengaluru encountered a tail strike while attempting to land at Kempegowda International Airport on Sunday. This incident occurred during a second landing attempt amid gusty weather conditions, according to sources.

IndiGo provided a statement confirming the situation, mentioning that the aircraft experienced what it termed 'abnormal runway contact.' Fortunately, all passengers and crew aboard the aircraft disembarked safely after the event.

The airline's A321 aircraft has a history of tail strike incidents at various airports across India. Following this recent occurrence, IndiGo stated that the aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will not resume operations until it has received the necessary clearances.
