A Hyderabad-based casting agent has been booked by Banjara Hills police following allegations from a budding actress who accused him of sexual harassment, intimidation, cheating, and non-payment of remuneration.

A casting agent in Hyderabad has been booked by the Banjara Hills police after a budding actress filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment, intimidation, cheating, and non-payment of dues.

According to the complaint, the accused, identified as Prasad, had approached the actress with an offer to cast her in a supporting role in a film. The actress completed her work for the project, which was reportedly finished in December 2025. However, she alleged that the casting agent failed to pay her pending remuneration of approximately ₹90,000 along with travel expenses amounting to about ₹38,000. Despite repeated requests, the payments were allegedly delayed.

The actress stated that when she continued to pursue the matter, the accused asked her to meet him near a film producer’s office in Banjara Hills. During the meeting, instead of settling the dues, he allegedly threatened her. She further alleged that he forcibly took her into his car, behaved inappropriately, and suggested that she would receive more film opportunities if she complied with his demands.

According to the complaint, the actress managed to leave the location and later informed her mother about the incident. When her mother contacted the accused regarding the allegations and unpaid remuneration, he allegedly abused and threatened her as well.

Based on the complaint, Banjara Hills police registered a case against the casting agent on charges related to harassment, intimidation, and cheating. Authorities have begun an investigation into the allegations. Police officials have stated that further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Note: These are allegations made in a police complaint. The case is under investigation, and no court has determined guilt or innocence at this stage.
