Houthi Attacks Cause Injuries at Saudi Military Airbase
Thirteen civilians injured in Saudi Arabia following Houthi drone and missile strikes on multiple cities, prompting civil defence alerts.

Thirteen civilians sustained injuries in Saudi Arabia following missile and drone strikes attributed to Yemen's Houthi militia. The Saudi Arabian authorities reported these incidents occurred on Monday, targeting populated areas in Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif.

Major General Turki Al-Malki, who serves as the spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, indicated that the strikes resulted in injuries described as minor to moderate to the affected individuals. Additionally, the attacks caused damage to seven residential properties and two vehicles.

In response to the situation, the Saudi Civil Defense issued a series of alerts for several cities across the Kingdom, including Abha, Jeddah, Jazan, Taif, Yanbu, and AlUla. The statement released by the Civil Defense condemned the actions of the Houthi militia, labelling them as “heinous and deliberate attacks” on civilian areas.

The Coalition’s statement further reiterated this condemnation, asserting that the “Terrorist Houthi Militia continues its deliberate and repeated attacks,” which they claim highlight an approach rooted in extremist ideology. They affirmed their commitment to respond firmly to protect the Kingdom's sovereignty as well as civilian life and property.

This recent round of attacks follows another incident last week that resulted in over 70 injuries, affecting women and children across various locations in Saudi Arabia. In a related development, the Kingdom took precautionary measures and temporarily shut down its East-West Pipeline after it experienced drone attacks in the Riyadh and Madinah regions.

The assaults have drawn widespread condemnation from Gulf and Islamic organisations, expressing their solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the face of ongoing aggression from the Houthi militia. As the situation unfolds, local authorities remain vigilant in ensuring the safety of civilians in the affected regions.
