Govinda's Wife Discusses His Hair Patch and Relationship Dynamics
Ssunita Ahuja, wife of Indian actor Govinda, has publicly shared that her husband uses a hair patch, a matter she believes should be destigmatised in the film industry. In an interview with Mashable India, she reflected on their early days together, recalling the actor's youthful allure. Ssunita stated, “Even now he looks handsome, but at that time he had his original hair. Now he wears a patch.”
She went on to highlight that many actors, regardless of gender, opt for such enhancements. "What’s there to hide? Many heroes do it. Men and women both use patches,” she affirmed. This comment underscores a broader trend within the entertainment sector where cosmetic alterations are increasingly acknowledged.
Their relationship has also been a topic of discussion, with Ssunita expressing both admiration and concern about Govinda's commitment to family over personal enjoyment. She remarked, “I will say it again. Govinda is a good son, a good brother. But as a husband, what I want... I love going to parties, for dinners, on holidays, but he got so indulged in providing for his family that he never enjoyed it.” Her sentiments reveal a complex emotional landscape after four decades of marriage.
Over the past year, Ssunita has made allegations regarding Govinda's fidelity, suggesting he may have had an extramarital affair. Addressing these claims, Govinda dismissed them as part of a larger conspiracy targeted against him. In an interview with ANI, he expressed the necessity to speak out to rectify any misconceptions. “What I’ve been observing lately is that sometimes when we don’t speak, we either appear weak or it seems like we are simply the problem,” he said.
Despite the challenges in their marriage, Ssunita remains steadfast. She voiced her preference for the traits her husband exhibits, asserting, “After four decades together, there was no point dwelling on regrets or imagining life apart.”
Govinda and Ssunita have been married since 1987 and are parents to son Yashvardhan and daughter Tina, who entered the Bollywood scene with her debut in 2015's 'Second Hand Husband.' Yashvardhan is also preparing for his own acting career, marking a new chapter for the family — one that echoes the complexities of fame and personal relationships in the public eye.
