Dil Raju acquires Telugu distribution rights for 'Toxic' starring Yash for ₹120 crore, anticipating significant success upon its 2026 release.

Indian film producer Dil Raju has secured the Telugu distribution rights for the much-anticipated film 'Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' for ₹120 crore. This acquisition was made on an advance-commission basis and marks a significant partnership with KVN Productions.

The film, directed by Geethu Mohandas, stars the popular actor Yash, who gained immense recognition following the success of the KGF franchise. Scheduled for a global release on March 19, 2026, 'Toxic' has already generated considerable excitement, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions of India due to Yash's growing popularity.

With initial promotions underway, including a teaser that has captivated audiences, the film's production team is optimistic about its potential impact in the film industry. Dil Raju commented on the acquisition, stating that Yash has become a pivotal figure in Indian cinema since his breakout role in KGF Chapter 2. He noted, "There has been a steady build-up of anticipation for Yash's next project over the last four years, which reflects the strong belief we have in his star power and the quality of the film’s content."

'Toxic' aims to capture a global audience with its simultaneous release in multiple languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Key contributors to the film include National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi and composer Ravi Basrur, known for their previous work on the KGF films. Moreover, it is noteworthy that Hollywood action expert JJ Perry, famed for his work on the 'John Wick' series, has collaborated with National Award-winning duo Anbariv to choreograph the film's action sequences.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, 'Toxic' is expected to be a significant addition to the current film offerings, especially during the festive season. Alongside the excitement surrounding 'Toxic', Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur is preparing for her third Telugu film, 'Family Star,' which co-stars popular actor Vijay Deverakonda.

Amidst this buzz, Dil Raju is also making headlines for reportedly signing Tamil superstar Vijay for his first project in Telugu cinema. The collaboration highlights an increasing trend in the Telugu film industry, where prominent figures are working across regional boundaries to attract a larger audience base. However, recent speculation regarding distribution rights for another film featuring superstar Mahesh Babu has stirred discussions, suggesting possible tensions within industry alliances. Nevertheless, such claims remain to be clarified as Dil Raju continues to strengthen his portfolio in the competitive market of Indian cinema.
