Dhurandhar Box Office Update: Ranveer Singh Film Hits ₹739 Crore
Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office, reaching ₹739 crore as it overcomes competition from new releases this festive season.

Dhurandhar, a spy thriller featuring Indian actor Ranveer Singh, has maintained its lead at the domestic box office, achieving remarkable success over its 28-day run. Released by Aditya Dhar, the film has seen significant earnings, notably recording a 40% increase in revenue on New Year’s Day, which further solidified its position as the top film in India.

As reported by Sacnilk, Dhurandhar generated ₹15.75 crore net in India on 1 January, concluding its fourth week with a domestic total of ₹739 crore. This impressive performance marks the film’s fourth week in which it grossed over ₹100 crore, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar is now closing in on the Hindi domestic record held by Pushpa 2, which stands at ₹812 crore. Industry analysts predict that Dhurandhar is likely to surpass the ₹800 crore mark by the end of the coming weekend, given its sustained momentum at the box office.

In terms of competition, Dhurandhar has successfully faced challenges from several new releases, including Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis. Despite arriving four weeks after Dhurandhar’s release, Ikkis, which features Agastya Nanda in a leading role, managed to earn a respectable ₹7 crore on its opening day. However, this was significantly lower than Dhurandhar’s earnings, which more than doubled the competition’s revenue.

Dhurandhar has not only outperformed recent releases like Avatar: Fire and Ash and the Christmas release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, but it has also shown resilience against market fluctuations typical of the film industry.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films in history, with a global collection exceeding ₹1100 crore. It is anticipated to surpass other major hits such as Jawan and KGF Chapter 2 before its theatrical run concludes. The film features an ensemble cast, including prominent actors Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, contributing to its widespread appeal and commercial success.

As the film continues its run through January, industry watchers remain keen to see how it performs against upcoming releases and whether it can maintain its remarkable box office trajectory.
