Delhi Court Judge Dies by Suicide at Home in Safdarjung

A judge serving in the Delhi courts has reportedly taken his own life, with his body discovered hanging at his residence in the Safdarjung area. Delhi Police responded to the scene after receiving notifications regarding the incident, initiating an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suicide.

The deceased, identified as a 35-year-old man, has had his body sent for a post-mortem examination, according to law enforcement officials. A senior police officer stated, "No foul play has been established so far. However, all angles are being examined as part of inquest proceedings." The judge was appointed to the Delhi Judicial Services on 19 June 2021 and completed his law degree at Symbiosis Law School in Pune in 2018. During his career, he presided over various civil and criminal cases, serving in multiple jurisdictions as both a judicial magistrate and a civil judge.

This incident follows another recent tragedy involving a 26-year-old lawyer who reportedly jumped from a 15th-floor balcony at a hotel in Connaught Place, New Delhi. In that case, the individual left a two-page note stating that no one should be held responsible for his action. Police discovered alcohol bottles in the hotel room.
