Profit before tax reached ₹755.65 crore, compared to ₹662.62 crore in the prior year, while earnings per share improved to ₹3.33 from ₹2.90.
The company's flagship Consumer Care segment proved to be the primary driver of growth, generating revenue of ₹3,000.74 crore, up from ₹2,704.92 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Segment profit also grew significantly, rising to ₹723.15 crore from ₹644.10 crore. Similarly, the Food segment reported strong results, with revenue increasing to ₹659.33 crore from ₹620.86 crore, and segment profit moving up to ₹94.25 crore from ₹80.46 crore.
However, the Retail segment continued to face challenges, posting revenue of ₹28.02 crore and a slight segment loss of ₹0.69 crore, though this loss has narrowed compared to previous quarters. The Other segment contributed ₹66.02 crore in revenue and ₹7.21 crore in profit.
Dabur has been proactive in investing behind its brand during this quarter, with advertising and publicity expenses rising to ₹229.46 crore, up from ₹201.96 crore in the previous year. Employee benefit expenses also rose to ₹369.41 crore, which signals ongoing investments in talent acquisition and business expansion.
The company’s profitability metrics showed improvement, with operating margins marginally increasing to 19.69% from 19.62% a year ago. Furthermore, the net profit margin expanded to 15.57%, compared to 14.93% in the previous year.
Financially, Dabur's balance sheet has strengthened, with net worth increasing to ₹11,751.80 crore from ₹11,230.47 crore a year earlier. Total assets reached ₹19,108.89 crore, and total liabilities rose to ₹6,758.01 crore. Outstanding debt rose to ₹2,328.71 crore, leading to a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.20, an increase from 0.13 a year prior, although the overall leverage remains modest.
The results suggest that Dabur is benefiting from resilient consumer demand in its core categories while maintaining a disciplined pricing strategy and profitability. With strong growth in both its Consumer Care and Food businesses, the company enters the remainder of fiscal year 2027 with steady operational momentum despite a competitive consumption landscape.
