Bollywood Stars Dazzle in Ethnic Attire for Karwa Chauth
Sonam Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, and Mira Rajput showcase stunning ethnic fashion at Anil Kapoor's annual Karwa Chauth celebration.

Bollywood celebrities gathered at Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor's residence in Juhu, Mumbai, on October 29 to celebrate the annual festival of Karwa Chauth. This event, steeped in tradition, saw stars and family members donning exquisite ethnic attire, creating a vibrant display of fashion.

Among the attendees were renowned actors Sonam Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, and Mira Rajput, each showcasing unique styles that highlighted the festive spirit.

Sonam Kapoor made a striking appearance in a deep crimson anarkali. The ensemble featured a heavily textured skirt and intricate gold zari embroidery on the v-neckline. Over her outfit, she layered a sheer organza jacket in rust-orange and gold, complete with structured sleeves and detailed trim. Sonam accessorised her look with oversized drop earrings, bangles, and a potli handbag adorned with a large tassel.

Shilpa Shetty chose a lively silk saree that transitioned from pastel pink at the top to a rich red at the border. The saree was intricately designed with gold zari floral motifs and paired with an emerald green blouse featuring glass sleeves and detailed gold embroidery. Shilpa’s makeup was soft, and she complemented her look with a traditional bindi and an array of gold jewellery, including a striking statement choker and numerous bangles. She carried a puja thali, further enhancing her traditional attire.

Mira Rajput opted for elegance in a high-sheen tissue silk saree in beige-gold, which boasted intricate mirror work along its border. Her matching blouse featured a scoop-neck and short sleeves, covered in geometric mirror patterns. With soft waves in her hair and subtle makeup, Mira accessorised with sleek bangles and earrings, also carrying a traditional potli bag.

The grandeur of the event not only celebrated the cultural significance of Karwa Chauth but also showcased the evolving nature of festive fashion in Bollywood. The Kapoors maintained their long-standing tradition, with the gathering becoming a memorable celebration attended by notable figures within the industry.

As the festival continues to inspire modern interpretations of traditional wear, the styles exhibited during this year's celebrations serve as a source of inspiration for many preparing for their own festive occasions.
