Apple iPhone 18 Pro Previewed with Limited Editions by Caviar
Apple is poised to reveal the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in mid-September, coinciding with its annual product event. The anticipated launch aligns with the company’s established patterns of manufacturing and consumer upgrades. Details regarding this release have been circulated by luxury brand Caviar, known for crafting bespoke high-end versions of popular tech products.
Caviar has launched a preview website that offers a glimpse of the features expected in the upcoming flagship smartphones. Though Caviar often bases their previews on speculation rather than confirmed information, the site highlights several potential enhancements. Noteworthy among these are new colour options, including light blue and dark red, a more compact Dynamic Island interface, and improved battery capacity.
The most significant hardware upgrades appear to be the inclusion of the Apple A20 Pro ARM chip, rumoured to be produced by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) using a 2-nanometre manufacturing process. Additionally, the primary camera is said to feature a variable aperture, enhancing depth of field in photographs, which allows for clearer focus on subjects in the background, particularly in group settings.
Caviar's preview also references an earlier report suggesting a redesign of the camera shutter button on the iPhone 18 Pro. This modified button would exclusively be touch-sensitive, reacting only to pressure without supporting gesture controls, although this has not yet been verified.
In conjunction with the preview, Caviar has announced five limited edition variants of the iPhone 18 Pro (Max). These exclusive models are priced between $10,060 and $12,770, depending on configuration and storage capacity. Each edition is limited to 18 units, with designs featuring either python or crocodile leather. Some variants are adorned with 24-karat gold plating or a black physical vapour deposition (PVD) finish. Notably, these high-end materials may hinder compatibility with Qi2 magnetic accessories and wireless charging.
Caviar's limited editions are now available for pre-order through their online platform, offering customers a chance to purchase a unique piece of technology that blends luxury with advanced features. The official launch event for the iPhone 18 series is anticipated eagerly by tech enthusiasts and Apple fans alike, marking another key moment in Apple's product evolution.
