Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan greets fans behind bulletproof glass after a recent bomb threat, with added security measures at his home.

Amitabh Bachchan, the renowned Bollywood actor, maintained his tradition of greeting fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, on Sunday. However, this week, the 84-year-old actor greeted the crowd from behind a transparent bulletproof glass enclosure, an extra security measure following a recent bomb threat directed at his home.

The heightened security comes after Mumbai Police received an email threatening to blow up Jalsa. This alarming message was reportedly sent to a school in the Bandra-Kurla Complex area, mentioning potential attack dates, including October 31. As a precaution, authorities have intensified security around the actor’s home and his public appearances.

During the unexpected meeting, Amitabh Bachchan waved and offered greetings to fans while standing inside the protective barrier, a departure from his usual practice of interacting more closely with attendees. His son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, stood nearby, appearing vigilant and observant as security personnel monitored the gathering. Videos and images of the event quickly circulated on social media, highlighting the unusual circumstances.

The recent security concerns are not isolated incidents. The actor's safety has become a priority for many in light of another incident involving fellow Bollywood star Tiger Shroff, who recently faced an attack. These events have urged several celebrities to review and enhance their personal security protocols.

Despite the security alert, Amitabh Bachchan remains active in his career. He is currently hosting the 18th season of the popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, and was last seen in a Tamil film titled Vettaiyan alongside Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.

Throughout the years, Amitabh's Sunday gatherings have become a cherished ritual for his loyal fans. While the essence of these meetings continues, the additional security measures reflect growing concerns for the safety of prominent figures in the entertainment industry. Fans and observers alike are hopeful for a swift resolution to the recent threats against the iconic actor.
