Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani Revive Iconic Track in Welcome To The Jungle
The release of Ucha Lamba Kad Forever creates nostalgia for fans as Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani lead in the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle.

The upbeat song, Ucha Lamba Kad Forever, was unveiled on June 1, serving as a modern rendition from the forthcoming comedy, Welcome To The Jungle. The track sees performances by Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani, bringing a fresh vibrancy to a beloved classic.

Originally featured in the 2007 film Welcome, the new version retains the core essence of the track, originally composed by Anand Raj Anand, while being reimagined by Vikram Montrose. The fresh rendition includes contributions from singers Anand Raj Anand and Rubai, and new lyrics penned by Meggha Bali alongside those from Sameer, the original lyricist.

The music video showcases a vibrant array of visuals combined with a lively beat, aiming to capture the attention of both new audiences and long-term fans. Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani exhibit a glamorous chemistry that energises the presentation, while the iconic hook echoes sentiments of nostalgia for seasoned listeners.

Vikram Montrose expressed the significance of the original in a statement: "The original Ucha Lamba Kad holds a special place in the hearts of Bollywood music lovers. The challenge was to retain that nostalgia while giving it a fresh identity that fits the energy of Welcome To The Jungle. We wanted audiences to instantly reconnect with the song and at the same time discover something new."

Writer Meggha Bali elaborated on the challenge of crafting new lyrics for a piece rich in nostalgia: "Songs like these come with a legacy and an emotional connection for audiences. Our effort was to celebrate everything people loved about the original while adding a contemporary flavour that speaks to today’s listeners."

Welcome To The Jungle boasts a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta, alongside Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez. Adding to the comedic flair are well-known actors Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda.

The film's teaser, lasting one minute and 30 seconds, sets the stage for a chaotic plot where the making of a "fake film" leads to humorous mishaps. The blend of staged gunshots and unforeseen accidents hints at a classic comedy of errors that underpins the film's narrative.

Produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala under Base Industries Group and directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is set to premiere in theatres on June 26, 2026.
