Akshay Kumar Dances in High Heels During 'Wheel of Fortune' Finale
Akshay Kumar captivated audiences during the grand finale of the television show 'Wheel of Fortune' with a surprising dance performance in women’s high heels. This unexpected moment occurred as part of a playful challenge issued by actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is also known for her roles in various Bollywood films.
The finale featured Kumar as the host, alongside actresses Fernandez and Bhumi Pednekar, as well as choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan. The light-hearted interaction began when Fernandez reminisced about some of Kumar's previous pranks on the show. In a bid to turn the tables, she challenged him to wear heels and dance for one minute. If he did not succeed, he would have to transfer a sum of Rs 1 lakh to her.
Initially hesitant, Kumar expressed concerns about potential injury, stating that he had never worn heels before. However, with supportive encouragement from Khan and help from Fernandez, he accepted the challenge. He performed a dance to 'Laal Pari,' a song from his film 'Housefull 4.'
The comedic aspect of the performance was heightened when one of the high heels broke midway through, adding a humorous twist to the finale. Upon completing his dance, Kumar paid tribute to women’s resilience, remarking, "Saari aurton ko salaam hai, kaise pehente ho aap log?" which translates to "I salute all women. How do you wear these?"
Following the broadcast, social media platforms were abuzz with praise for Kumar’s daring decision to take on the challenge and his ability to embrace a fun, feminine side. This is not the first instance where Kumar has explored this aspect of his persona; he previously participated in a photoshoot wearing a nose ornament, indicating his willingness to challenge traditional gender norms.
Currently, Akshay Kumar is enjoying the success of his recent film, 'Bhooth Bangla,' which has been well-received by audiences. This film marks his long-awaited collaboration with director Priyadarshan, featuring a notable ensemble cast that includes Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late Asrani. 'Bhooth Bangla' is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a subsidiary of Balaji Telefilms, and produced in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, with Kumar himself among the producers.
